We had a great time at the fair. This is always a highlight of our Fall season. Ace was lucky enough to go twice this year. His grammie and Aunt Beth, and Axel went earlier in the week. Can't wait for next year.

This year Ace went as a Construction Worker and AK was Tinkerbelle. We went to Freeport to trick or treat, and then came home and trick or treated with Graham Cracker, Uncle Ben, and Aunt Jo. The kids really had a great time and so well behaved, even on the sugar high!

Brent and I took Ansley Kate to the Boston Children's Museum. She loved it! She climbed up a 50 foot tall indoor ramp and was not scared at all. She also got to perform in two plays with is right up Drama Queen's alley. Authur's World and Peep's water world were really cool as well. She got to eat McDonald's twice since that is her favorite. She also missed Ace man but loved spending time with us.

This week, Brent and I decided to spend a day with each of our babes. On Tuesday, we took Ace to the Children's Hands On Museum in Augusta. He had a great time, although he probably would have had just as much fun in an open field. He loved the trucks, grocery store, diner, and pretending that he was a magician. We had pizza, his favorite for lunch. He really missed his sister and did not understand why she was not with us. He was very well behaved and so worn out that he took a 3 hour nap.

Boothbay Harbor

We went to the coastal town of Boothbay to enjoy good food, good sights, and the aquarium. Ansley refused to touch any of the sea creatures and Ace would have stayed all day and let anything crawl on him. He loved the sea cucumbers, crabs, lobsters, and the starfish.

We had pizza, ice cream, and fudge on the pier. The kids had fun despite the cold weather in July!

Since I am addicted to facebook, the blog has been on the back burner. But, I uploaded a ton of pictures today, and finally the blog will be up to date.

For our 7th wedding anniversary, Brent and I went to Boston for the weekend to see The Dave Matthews Band. The first night, we were in the seventh row, which was incredible. The next night, we still had pretty good seats, but not 7th row. Willie Nelson was the opening act, and the old guy still has it. The DMB was great as usual. I actually stood in line for only 10 min and got to see Dave up close and personal both nights. Unfortuntley, he did not play more song request.

My little man Ace. I love this kid. Ace is so easy going, so smart, and just so stinkin cute. Little man is already potty trained and likes to stand up like dad, will let you know when he is ready to go bed, and talks like he is five. I am amazed everyday by the things he says, how he thinks, and how sweet he is. I love to kiss his fat cheeks and fat lips, and my favorite time with him is right before he goes to bed and right when he wakes up.

Two years ago, Gavin Ace came into this world and he has made our little family complete.

This V-Day, I spent with my little babes. Brent has the flu, which is kicking his ass, so I have kept the kids out of the house so he could get some rest. We have been to the library twice, Wal-mart, dollar store, and McDonald's twice. The kids have loved it, but are really missing Daddy, especially AK. She just wants to check on him and give him a hug. That is all that she has been saying.

2nd Attempt - 1st Haircut

A couple of weeks ago, we took Ace to get his first haircut. It was time, as he had grown a mullet. Well, he decided to cry and puke, therefore, we decided to nix the haircut. This week, he watched AK get her haircut, and with lots of lollipops, he got his 1st haircut. He did so good and did not cry. Mom is a little sad because the curls are gone, but he looks so handsome.

I am amazed and thankful that God has blessed me with a husband who loves me and cherishes the time we have together and thankful for my little ones who always make me smile. Today, Brent turned 33 but looking at some recent Halloween photos, he's still acting 21...WOW! Brent and I met when I was 19. Time is flying by. Looking at these cupcakes, it is apparent that AK and I need to take a cooking class. Trust me, they were delicious. Deformed yes, but very delicious.

Nov. 4th, 2008- Election Day- History

Today, Brent and I voted in what we feel, is the most historical election of our time. I took my little girl with me to experience voting in this great election and let her have her place in history. In just a few short hours, we will either have our first African-American president or our first woman vice-president. Brent and I are prepared to support either circumstance. I hope that everyone that could, went out and voted.

Today we met up with Grammie, Uncle Shawn, Aunt "Bef", and Axel at Ricker Hill Farm to pick out our pumpkins. The kids had a blast enjoying the fresh air and seeing all of the pumpkins.

Leaf Pickin' in Thorncraig Bird Sanctuary

Brent and I took the babes Leaf Pickin' on the trails near our house. We were there for three and half hours! AK loved it and walked most of the way. Ace loved it too, especially walking with his walking stick. The colors in the leaves were beautiful and we could actually see Mt. Washington that is in New Hampshire. These trails are only a 5 min walk from our house and we plan to walk in them more often.

Fall...Family...Fun!

This morning, Brent and I took the babes out for homemade doughnuts and some fresh air. It was a beautiful morning, so we stopped at two apple orchards, Blackie's Market, and a little country store. The kids loved the Blueberry, chocolate, and apple cider doughnuts. Brent loved the pumpkin doughnuts and the blueberry were my favorite. The kids also loved jumping around in the hay. Fall is so much fun in Maine.

Ace makes a visit to the eye doctor

Today Ace had to see an eye specialist and his vision is perfect as well as all the muscular things that keep your eyeball in place. However, there are a few issues that we have to take a look at in 6 months to see if anything has changed. The first issue is called pseudostrabismus and this is where a child's eye appears to be turning inward because of their facial structures. The bridge of Ace's nose is really wide, and it extends more on the right side covering up the white of his eye making him look like his right eye is turning in. We are hoping that as he grows older and his face continues to change and lose the baby fat, that this will correct itself. The second thing is called Ptosis or drooping of the eyelid. As many of you know, Brent, his mom, his sister, and his brother all have the same exact eyes. Ace's eyes are interesting because if you look at him, it looks like he has one of my eyes and one of Brent's eyes as far as shape goes. Ace's eyelid doesn't really droop, but there is a lot of fat under it causing it to look like it droops. Again, part of his facial structure and we are hoping that in time, this will correct itself.
I am just glad his vision was perfect so he doesn't have to wear glasses. I don't think I could keep them on him, nor a patch which is something his pediiatrician thought he was going to have to wear.

Ace has such sweet curls, but his hair is starting to really get long. I can't bring myself to cut it just yet, however, Brent would love to. I just think the curls make him look so handsome.

As many of you know, my parents now live in Lake Charles, La. They were evacuated last night and it took them 15 hours to get to Birmingham, a trip that usually takes them 9 hours. Their house was hit by Hurricane Rita three years ago, and they are in the path of Gustav. Please say a little prayer that their house is not badly damaged again. Thanks.

This Panda Bear was really fun to watch go up and the babes loved it. We were a little disappointed in the balloons today, but Friday night there were a ton. Just to let you know, it cost around $225.00 per person to go up in a hot air balloon.

Sweet little AK. Brent and I are are huge DMB fans and right now its pretty much all we listen to. Well, Ansley's favorite song is "Cornbread", and she bust a move everytime the guitar starts strumming. A very inappropriate song for a two year old, but she can only sing three lines of it and it is so cute. I am going to try to get Brent to catch it on film. Check out the words online. The red pimp hat attire goes perfectly with the song.

I promise Little Man will get a post soon. Right now, he is a busy kid, drinking about a half a gallon of milk a day and destroying anything he touches. More pics of him soon.

Our sister in law, Jo's family is in town this week from Canada. Beth and I decided to have a cookout for them and play games and catch up. My kids played in the mud and enjoyed the blow up castle. It was a very fun night and its great to get to visit with them.

I have debated on whether or not to let AK try Gymnastics or cheerleading. Being a former cheerleader and a coach, I know that it is a dangerous sport. When she was a baby, I was only going to allow dance. But, she does flips and jumps all the time around the house, so, I gave in, and we started gymnastics tonight. And she loved it! She really didn't like the "boy" teachers, but she loved the Beam and the rings. But, her favorite part was watching the competitive cheer team practice their tumbling after her class. We had to make a quick departure because she wanted to get out on the floor with them. I was kind of hoping that she wouldn't like it or suck at it, but neither of those things happened. Last Days in Alabama

On our last full day in Alabama, we went to the Mcwane Center with the Moore family. It was so much better than the anniversary visit. Ace was easy to contain because he loved the water exhibit and wanted to stay there. We enjoyed getting to see the Moore family again. The only bad thing about visiting with them is that now AK keeps telling everyone that she wants a baby sister.

Ansley's favorite color is pink and since pigs are pink, in Ansley's mind, pigs are her favorite animal. This pig was sitting outside our favorite barbecue restaurant, Johnny Ray's. Friday night two spots opened at Sips and Strokes for the Aubie/Big Al night. Jennifer quickly got us signed up and it was so much fun. It was a little stressful for me because I wanted it to be perfect and I could not decide on a background that would be good for a boy. It's going to hang in Ace's room. I'm glad we do not have one of these in Maine because I would be poor. Sorry for the poor quality, but I forgot my camera and had to use my cell phone.

While we were in T-Town, we had lunch with Coach Matt, the sweet man I taught with in Alabama. We went to our favorite place City Cafe. Ace loved him and AK was shy. It was good to see him.

Yesterday Brent and I took Ace and AK for their first college visit. Ansley wanted to be a cheerleader and Ace just wanted to run wild. It was nice to see the new additions to the stadium and to buy Alabama stuff. Brent and I are hoping to get to a game in the near future. Roll Tide!

Last night we went over to Kit and Angel's house for pizza, cake and adult conversation! The kids had a blast playing dress up and the adults enjoyed complaining about the gas prices. Yes we are getting old! It was also nice to be able to hold little man Kamden, he is precious. The fun ended when Ace puked all over me. Good times.

Visiting with Grandmother Lee

Yesterday, we went to visit my Grandmother for the day. For 80, she is a bundle of energy. We had a hard time convincing her to just relax. The kids loved all of her knick knacks and of course her brownies.

Having Fun at the Hotel

My parents stayed in a hotel room for a few days while they were visiting and we went over to swim. Ace enjoyed the ice machine and the Little Ceasars pizza more than he did the pool. We enjoyed getting to spend time with Banana, Pawpaw, and Jordan.

Sweet Home Alabama

We have been in Alabama for a week now and we are having a good time visiting with everyone especially Banana and PawPaw. Here is a picture of Ansley and Ace in front of Cracker Barrel. Ansley thinks that we have to stop at every Cracker Barrel to go potty because this is where we stopped along the way so the kids could run around and play. Now she can spot a CB sign from a mile away. Its good to be home.

AK and Allie are having a great time hanging out and being buddies. We have also had a good time with Marlee, Maddie, Molli and Kam but I forgot my camera when we went to the Macwane Center. We are digging the new friends we have made.
